Sorry it took so long Shibana nee-san, but we’re a group of perfectionists over here. I’d say this was a pretty great job for our first batch release. A big thanks to all the people down there, as well as to Hanamaru&Lolihouse. 01v2 changes are too much to list here… just watch the damn anime and enjoy!

Demi-chan batch, Saki, and Alderamin when? As Saber the “friendly” #AnimeTorrents bot always says: Soon.™

Hey guys, thanks a lot for your work. Just wondering what’s up with the artifacts around the hair and on the scarf here? There is a decent amount of grain and detail loss, so perhaps too aggressive a filter?

720p version was a quick downsize of the 1080p release, no filters were applied on it.

If you’re looking for quality, maybe you should grab our 1080p HEVC version.

I see. Unfortunately it seems that the HEVC version also suffers from some detail loss (at a larger file size than HS, too). Oh well, at least it doesn’t have the artifacts.

I don’t know what you see personally, but I see that the lineart is smoother on the Sumire screenshot compared to HS with the comparison you linked there.

The gradients are also much smoother and doesn’t have too much grain like the HS version does as well. As long as the video looked good and the subtitles were nice, that’s all that matters right? 😀

Thank you for watching our releases, and we hope you continue to in the future!

I think that’s where my problem comes from. You can’t really lose grain significantly without losing detail as well (you can see that with the lines on the floor disappearing in the HEVC encode). I think you might have had a better result with an x264 720p encode of CrunchyRoll’s CRF video. Having said that, the script is good, so thanks again for your work!
